FACIAL SURGERIES: MLD wellness & recovery Specialized Training in Safe, Effective lymphatic & soft tissue care
Facial surgery recovery is a specialized area of care, yet most manual therapy training offers little guidance on how to safely support healing in the delicate tissues of the face, neck, and scalp. This course equips therapists with a clear, evidence-informed, and gentle approach to post-surgical facial wellness using manual lymphatic drainage, fascial release, scar management strategies, and supportive patient education.
Whether your patients are preparing for or recovering from a facelift, brow lift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, or neck lift, or simply seeking relief from swelling, tension, or post-procedural sensitivity ~ you’ll learn how to provide targeted, precise, and comfortable lymphatic support that aligns with surgical timelines and safety boundaries.
This hybrid training blends online anatomy and safety foundations with a full day of in-person, hands-on practice, allowing you to learn the pathways of facial lymphatics, refine your touch, and build confidence under guided instruction. By the end of the course, you’ll have the clinical skills and clarity needed to integrate focused lymphatic care for facial surgeries into your practice in a way that is safe, respectful, within scope, and highly beneficial for your post-operative patients.

why this training matters
Facial tissues including the eyes, jawline, cheeks, neck, and scalp ~ undergo significant changes following cosmetic procedures such as facelifts, brow lifts, eyelid surgeries, rhinoplasty, and neck lifts. Swelling, congestion, bruising, scar tightness, and reduced mobility are all normal parts of healing, yet many therapists receive little guidance on how to support these sensitive areas safely. As more patients seek proactive recovery care and gentle post-surgical support, therapists trained in evidence-informed facial lymphatic care and scar management are increasingly in demand. Skilled facial and neck-focused lymphatic care can help patients:
Reduce post-surgical swelling, bruising, congestion, and sensitivity
Improve scar and soft-tissue mobility following facelift, rhinoplasty, brow lift, eyelid surgery, or neck lift
Ease tension in the jaw, scalp, neck, and mid-face to support comfort and movement
Support natural drainage pathways to optimize surgical results and recovery timelines
Encourage smoother mobility through the facial fascia and cervical tissues
Enhance relaxation and overall comfort during what can be an emotionally and physically heightened healing period
Feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their recovery process
