Face & Scalp Aroma Massage is a one-day Professional Workshop that invites Registered Massage Therapists to explore the remarkable therapeutic potential of the head, face, neck, and scalp through a thoughtful, lymph-inspired approach to treatment.

Developed through the EluVett philosophy, this workshop blends anatomy, healthy fluid movement, superficial fascial relationships, aromatherapy, and complementary therapeutic influences into one cohesive, restorative treatment experience. Rather than teaching individual techniques in isolation, you'll discover how multiple approaches can be thoughtfully integrated to create treatments that are both deeply relaxing and clinically intentional.

Throughout the day you'll learn through instructor demonstrations, self-exploration, partner exchange, and guided hands-on practice in a supportive small-group learning environment. As your confidence grows, you'll refine your touch, develop treatment flow, and gain practical skills that naturally complement your existing massage therapy practice.

Face & Scalp Aroma Massage reflects the EluVett philosophy of viewing treatment through a lymphatic-informed perspective.

Rather than teaching individual techniques in isolation, this workshop explores how anatomy, healthy fluid movement, superficial fascial relationships, aromatherapy, facial cupping, acupressure and marma points, buccal release, and thoughtful touch can be intentionally integrated into one seamless, restorative treatment experience. Each element is introduced not as a separate modality, but as a complementary part of a cohesive approach designed to support relaxation, tissue comfort, body awareness, and overall well-being.

While inspired by lymphatic principles, this workshop is not a course in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, facial cupping, aromatherapy, or Eastern therapeutic practices. Instead, it demonstrates how multiple therapeutic influences can be thoughtfully integrated without losing clinical intention ~ creating a treatment experience that is both enjoyable to provide and deeply restorative to receive.

Face & Scalp Aroma Massage is a wellness-focused treatment experience and should not be considered a substitute for clinical Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

Although some individuals may notice temporary changes related to superficial fluid movement, these responses vary between individuals and are not intended as treatment for medical or lymphatic conditions.

This workshop does not teach assessment or treatment for lymphedema, lipedema, post-surgical recovery, or other clinical lymphatic presentations. Therapists wishing to develop these skills are encouraged to complete EluVett Lymphatic Foundations and the relevant Clinical Intensives.

Is this the same as Indie (Indian) Head Massage?No. While both treatments include the head, neck, and scalp, Face & Scalp Aroma Massage was developed specifically for Registered Massage Therapists and reflects an evidence-informed, lymph-inspired approach to treatment.
Rather than teaching a single modality, this workshop thoughtfully integrates lymph-inspired techniques, superficial fascial engagement, facial cupping, acupressure and marma points, buccal release, and aromatherapy into one cohesive treatment experience grounded in anatomy, physiology, and massage therapy practice.

Do I need prior training to take this workshop?
No.
This workshop is open to RMTs who are interested in exploring a new treatment approach through a lymphatic-informed perspective. A working knowledge of anatomy and a willingness to learn through hands-on practice and partner exchange are all you need.

How is aromatherapy incorporated into this workshop?
You'll learn how aromatherapy can thoughtfully complement a Face & Scalp Aroma Massage treatment through discussions on skin-safe essential oils, blending considerations, and practical application within massage therapy practice.

To create a comfortable learning environment for everyone, hands-on practice during the workshop uses only unscented coconut oil (or your own preferred unscented massage oil). Essential oils are not diffused or applied during class to respect participants with scent sensitivities, while still providing you with the knowledge and confidence to incorporate aromatherapy safely into your own practice afterward.
